I was so incredibly blessed to be a part of Timi and Johnna’s wedding.  My respect for Johnna grew more and more as I witnessed how deep her love for Timi is.  And Timi is pretty crazy about her himself! ;) I loved watching an American and a Nigerian family come together as one.  They had a traditional engagement in Nigeria and this beautiful wedding in Chattanooga, TN.

Her sister in law did a beautiful job on her makeup!

.

You will notice that I LOVED her shoes!

Her nephew was the only boy allowed in the room while the girls got ready! :)

And we can’t forget the guys!  Even though it takes them a fraction of the time to get ready ;)
..

Someone’s excited!!

They opted for a first look and I know they don’t regret it for a second.  They were SO excited to see each other, and they both felt more relaxed for the ceremony.

.

And of course, I loved the first look because not only did I get to capture the moment but we had more time for bridal party photos as well! :)

.

Such beautiful and supportive bridesmaids…

.

Just some good friends having fun!

Siblings!   This really makes me want to see a photo of when they were little :)

Some time before the ceremony to regroup, unite with family, pray and just get excited!  Oh yeah and to take this photo of the stunning bride…

.

A father’s love and acceptance, SO important!

.

Beautiful flower girl!  And pastor praying before the ceremony :)

.

When I showed her this photo she said “don’t show my mom that one”.  I’m thinking because she had spilt the petals;)  But she was still on her best behaviour walking down the aisle! :)

As Johnna walked down the aisle with her father, both bride and groom reveled in the moment.

With no second shooter I RAN up the stairs to get a different angle of the ceremony! So glad I did!

And check out the beautiful Nigerian attire…  Johnson told me that the groom’s mom chooses the colour and they all wear- in this case blue- to show that this is the (groom’s) mother’s side of the family.  It’s “Anko” in Yoruba.

Oh and I spotted this cutie;)  [for those of you who don’t know that’s my handsome boyfriend, Johnson]

I think they’re in love! :)

I love her face right after the kiss, it’s so “That’s right we just got MARRIED!”

Thanks for joining my journey!  More to come in part II.

Love,

Jenny
