I’ve been working on a video series for my church Warden. In this piece I worked with Christina James, the Creative Arts Pastor and Matt Schmid, the Student Ministries Pastor. I had a lot of fun capturing moments of games, fun, laughter, prayer and teaching. When it came time to get some “testimonials” of what the youth felt about their group I was struck by their sincerity. The resounding theme that they conveyed to me was family. I also noticed that no one wanted to leave, they wanted to hang around with each other long after the scheduled activities were done.
To the youth of The Sound, I hope that I was able to creatively and accurately tell your story. I know that it is out of the ordinary for someone to come in with a camera, lights and microphones but I appreciate your openness and willingness to express how you feel about your group.
