My sister is getting married!! I had the pleasure of throwing Christina a bridal shower! I chose to do a tea party theme and I’m excited to share the details. These photos were taken by yours truly as well as Sarah Jefford.
Being a photographer myself photos are one of my favourite ways to decorate! I used twine, doilies, mini clothes pins and Christina and Greg’s engagement photos to fill the room with their love!
The top canvas is a photo that Greg had printed of where he proposed in Muskoka.
I love to paint! These are their wedding colours; blush pink, mint and gold. I painted this for the shower but also so they can keep it in their future home.
Here’s another painting I did with the phrase “You are my cup of tea”. And of course what’s a tea party without fresh flowers?
I used an oil based paint marker to paint each of the ladies’ names on a personalized tea cup. After painting their names, I baked the cups in the oven so that they would dry. I made thank you notes and cut them in the shape of a tea bag. They read, “Thank you for joining us for tea with Christina the bride-to-be!” It was fun for each lady that attended to have a keepsake with their name on it! :)
Between my mom, my nana and my grandma, we had enough china tea cups for everyone to chose their own. The tea flavours included white chocolate peppermint, wedding cake, and coco-caramel sea salt.
Thanks so much to Christina’s bridesmaids and friends that contributed to the food! We had tea biscuits with various jams, assorted sandwiches, cupcakes, berries, homemade breads, butter tarts, brownies, squares and lots more!
I must admit I chose the caramel almond amaretti tea because it’s the perfect pink! But it also taste delicious!
We are so excited that Greg is joining our family and this shower was a wonderful opportunity to meet more of the the Heaths and Ansteys.
