Afton and Hassan’s wedding was a beautiful display of love and culture. These two met twelve years ago in front of the library at school. It all started when he asked for her phone number and she said no, but did give him her email!
Coming from different cultural backgrounds, their wedding celebrations honoured both Filipino and Pakistani traditions. We were there to capture the Filipino ceremony which included coin, veil, cord and unity candle sponsors. At the reception, Afton sang beautiful love songs and even surprised her groom with a song and dance with his sisters. The ceremony took place at St. John the Evangelist Church in Whitby, photos were taken at the Robert McLaughlin Gallery in Oshawa and the reception was held at Chandni Grand in Scarborough.
